Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use Placardset: a training aid for hazmat awareness trainees and instructors, not a course, a license or an incident reference.
What this is
Placardset is a training aid for practising the emergency response guidebook lookup. It is not an incident reference, not a course and not a certification. Placardset is a training aid; in a real incident follow the current printed guidebook and your employer's plan. The certificate of practice records practice; it is not a qualification and not a training record under any regulation.
The data
The guide numbers, highlights, distances and page numbers are entered from the 2024 Emergency Response Guidebook, which may be reproduced without further permission; the source line in the footer names it in full. The placard drawings, scenarios, action statements and page layouts are Placardset's own; the guidebook's text is paraphrased, not copied. No government name or seal is used as an endorsement. Placardset is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by any government, transport agency, regulator, fire service or training body.
The data is checked against the printed pages, but it can still be wrong, and a new edition will replace it. If anything here disagrees with the current printed guidebook, the printed guidebook is right.
What is free
The daily drill, the UN number lookup, the guides, the FAQ and your totals with the JSON and CSV export are free with no account and stay that way. In this build everything else is free too. Nothing on the free list will be moved behind a payment.
No account, and your progress
There is nothing to sign up for. Anything the site remembers is stored by your own browser on your own device, which means it can be cleared by you at any time, cannot be recovered by us, and does not follow you to another device.
Refunds
Not happy with a purchase? Email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com within 14 days of a first purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal, and we will refund it. Send the message from the email address you used at checkout, and include:
- the email address used at checkout (if you are writing from a different address)
- your access code, shown on the Premium page while you are subscribed on the browser you purchased from
- roughly when you purchased, and which plan (yearly or lifetime)
- the last 4 digits of the card, if you have the receipt handy
That is everything needed to find the purchase and process the refund. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have.
Acceptable use
Use the site for learning and teaching, including projecting it in a class. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people, and do not present its scenarios or drawings as your own work.
Warranty and liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Placardset is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything on it. A score here is a self assessment, not a qualification or a sign off by any employer, school or agency. Never use this site to make decisions at a real incident.
Contact
Questions, or a report that a number, a guide or an answer is wrong, go to the support address in the footer. A graded answer that disagrees with the printed guidebook is a defect and gets fixed.
